Tokowhitu Ngā Toa | A tale of seven toa (warriors) who have each found themselves exiled or alone in the wilderness of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Over time they have found each other, deciding to form as one ragtag group, ready to help those in need in exchange for hospitality, and prepared to take on any adversary they may face.

This was an idea I had a few years back after first watching Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. A project that encouraged me to learn more about historical rākau & kākahu Māori (Māori weapons & clothing) whilst getting more in-touch with my own Māori whakapapa (genealogy & heritage).
